UK / UCAS track
Opt-in from the UK page. The UK process is not a variation on the US one, it is a different game, and the track runs alongside your US application rather than replacing it.

Deadlines
- 15 October: Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, dentistry, veterinary. 18:00 UK time, absolute. You cannot apply to both Oxford and Cambridge in one cycle.
- Late January: equal consideration deadline for everything else.
- Late February: UCAS Extra opens if you hold no offers.
- Early June: reply to offers with a firm and an insurance choice.
- Mid-August: A-level results day and Clearing.
Five choices
Tracked with university, course, the offer they're asking for, status, any admissions test and an interview date. The tracker blocks a sixth because that is the actual UCAS rule, not a nag. 29 UK institutions ship with typical offer ranges.
Pick five courses, not five universities. The course matters more than the name on the building.
Personal statement
From 2026 entry UCAS replaced the single free-form essay with three structured questions, still 4,000 characters in total:
- Why do you want to study this course or subject?
- How have your qualifications and studies helped you prepare?
- What else have you done to prepare, and why is it useful?

Admissions tests
12 tests, filtered to the ones your chosen courses actually require: LNAT, UCAT, TMUA, ESAT, MAT, PAT, STEP, TSA, MLAT, CAT, HAT and the Oxford Philosophy Test. Each shows the universities that use it, the registration deadline, the test window and where the past papers are.
BMAT was discontinued after 2023 and is deliberately absent. ESAT replaced Cambridge's NSAA and ENGAA. UK admissions tests get restructured often, always confirm on the university's own page.
Interview prep
Appears once you have an Oxbridge choice or a choice at interview stage. Six principles, the core of which is that an Oxbridge interview is a simulated supervision: the interviewer pushes you past what you know on purpose, and being wrong out loud then correcting yourself is the thing they are looking for.
Anything you claimed to have read in your statement, you will be asked about. Do not list a book you skimmed.
